Happy Fathers Day...from the cat....

Well our Cat loves her Dad, so I had to make a card from her didn't I...and even better it had an image of her on there, so I tried to colour it a similar colour to her too.  I know, I'm way too soft when it comes to animals...!

I've used a few items from the Craft Sale on here I got, a little fish charm (a HUGE bag for £2 all sorts in there), the image itself (a Joanna Sheen one only £2.50), more of that circle ribbon, a paper sent from Gill (along with more cards - thanks Gill!!) and a butterfly I already had in my stash that Mum got me ages ago.

I added some Stickles, but now it's dried I'm not totally convinced I like it.  That's happened a few times on cards I've made lately.  Am I being too picky????

Enjoy!

Have a Nice Day...!

A nice simple card here - I used a new stamp I've got called "Bazoo - Cheeky Monkey" I think.  It was a bargain so I had to buy it with a monkey on it didn't I.  It'll come in useful for so many cards as it has a few sentiments to include on the board for different occasions so you get more use out of the stamp.

Again, I try to get ones like this to get the most out of them.  I cut two Nesties in half (from Di, love the gold ones Di, which card is that????) and used them outside the image.  A little red heart added and some more of the circles ribbon I've got in my stash and I left it at that.

Simples!

Get Well Soon ...

I've used some Promarkers here for a change!  Along with a beautiful flower which came from Gill in one of her many packets of cards she's sent me lately for the cancer charities/hospices.  Thanks for those Gill - also the lovely papers, some of which I've already used and you'll see those on here soon!

I added a peel off sentiment on here, makes a change from Birthday ones.  I've got some different ones to show you soon, so keep on looking....

Enjoy!!

Another wedding, slightly different....

Another wedding image from Di here, so pretty.  I've not got any stamps of wedding images, mainly animals and people of the few I do have.  Am trying to get more when the bank account allows (which isn't often!).

I added in the silver chain peel off on here to add some dimension to the image along with the hearts.  Again, now they're on there, I think they may be a little big, but it's too late once the glue has set isn't it....!

Enjoy!

It's Birthday time for Gill...

I made this card especially for Gill.  She makes me lots of cards to take to the cancer charities/hospices along with mine which makes the donation look really special, the more there are!

I used my last sheet of the blog candy win on this card, and added some gold brads and a new ribbon I got (99p another bargain!).  I always try to get a colour that will go with most cards I make to get the best use out of it.

The pink edging is from part of my Christmas presents from Di - they are all white, but I coloured them with my promarkers.  I'd love to have a die of several of them so I can make more.  Will have to keep an eye out and also add it to my ever growing wish list!

Anyway I hope you like this card.

Enjoy!

Penny Black - Flying again....

This stamp is SO cute, I just love it.  I coloured him using my trusty Promarkers of course, and then stamped the tail and kite again and used foam squares to add some dimension to the card.

I used the stripy paper again, along with my handmade backing paper using a stamp set from Di which inlcuded cats on it (of course!).  I CB'd him with a circle die which makes it more unusual.  Although I did stamp a few so you might see some variations of it!

Card candy was added in the top left hand corner, in threes of course.  I've had another idea for the image so you will see more of these...!

Enjoy!

LOTV - I Do....

Really cute images here sent from Di.  The image was stamped with a different colour so I just added some light colours here and there and left her dress white (of course!).

I added some heart gems to the image where the hearts were stamped, although I think they may be a little big for it looking from a distance now.  Too late though as they're glued on!

I used a square die around the image and used some monochrome paper, added a peel off to some lilac cardstock (matching the colours of the gems).  I used two colours of grey to colour his little tails and trousers, and finally finished it with some peel off flowers in the corners.  I think the peel offs came from Gill, when I was making a card for a friend getting married.  That's the last of the wedding peel offs I have.

Enjoy!

More Paper Piecing....

I did all these images at the same time and stamped and stuck them all together ready to use.  I added some faux stitching, along with some CB'd white cardstock.  I had some lilac core-dinations card left after I'd CB'd it so used the edges to make the striped bits on this card.  I tried to 'distress' it a bit but don't think I was too successful on that!

I added a pretty little flower (bargain 50p a bag at a Craft Sale) and put some card candy for the middle.  I used a little peel off just to add a sentiment.

My printer is sorely missed as I have so many things I need to print and can't - oh well....

Enjoy!

Fab Freebie - More Monsters!

Sorry the monsters have been retired - watch out for new digis coming soon!

Been having printer problems so no scanning of images for a while - here's a couple I found in my "Digi Folder" though so I've added them for you to try.

Thanks Gill for adding your "Monster" cards and also the "Chloe" and "Jimmy", as well as Di with her Jimmy and Chloe cards - it'd be great to see some more if any of you would be kind enough to show me.

If you would like to see more of my digis, show me your cards and it will encourage me - LOL!!!!

Enjoy!

Beary Lovely!

Bear stamped from my lovely friend, I coloured him with my Promarkers and added him to some stripy backing paper and some with paw prints on it.  I also added some card candy and then some peel offs to the side of the Die cut square shape.

I also coloured the "With Love" peel off with my Promarkers, left it to dry and then added it to his little board he's holding.  Cute huh!

A small silver bow was added (fiinal ones from the christmas set bought in Tescos a couple of years back).  Handy for adding to characters to add some dimension.

Enjoy!

It wasn't me...

That's what it looks like she's saying isn't it...!  I'm really missing my printer at the moment.  I got a new one about five months ago and have had problems with it and it's taking ages to solve.  No help from the store or the manufacturer.  Guess who won't be buying that brand of printer or shopping in that store again anytime soon!!!

So, the card is taken from the colouring of her clothes.  I added some dotty backing paper, I tend to use it on several cards till it's gone then I don't have loads of scraps as I have nowhere to put them!  I used my CB to emboss the pink cordinations card - got a lot of use out of that little 6 x 6 square!!!

I used my pokey tool to add the faux stitching holes and then matted and layered it onto the core-dinations card and used it for the sentiment too.  I used a simple peel off for the sentiment and some flowers from another peel off too.  I don't waste any peel off materials!  Or anything in fact - I can find a use for most things!

Finally I added some lilac card candy dots to continue the dotty theme.

Enjoy!

Gorjuss Girlie

This is such a gorjuss image - no pun intended!  LOL!  Such a cutie to colour and I used the purple from the backing paper to match her dress.  I added a piece of card I'd punched with my one and only, Martha Stewart punch and put some of my bargain heart ribbon down the side.

A small peel off sentiment added to pearlised card, matted and layered onto white card cut with the trimmer I got for Christmas from the lovely Di.  Have had more ideas for using that, so keep watching!

Enjoy!

Paper Piecing....my first efforts!

I've seen paper piecing on other cards and thought I'd have a go with it.  I can't do intricate cutting due to problems with my hands, but this was a fairly simple image and was quite easy to paper piece.  It's a digi image and I printed it out twice for the little dress.

The rest of her is coloured with Promarkers of course.  Now I've got better acess to my CB, I cut out some circles with dies that Di sent to me earlier.  I used the small circle that came out with the cut circle to outline the pink one, quite effective.

Core-dinations card - pale lilac this time to match the backing paper (sorry can't remember where it came from, think it was a Papermania one?).  I used the dotty ribbon (old one, Hobbycraft - good quality so shows it's age - now they're a lot thinner!).  I took the colours from the ribbon and added card candy to it in similar colours.

Not bad for a first effort at paper piecing - what do you think?

Enjoy!
