A Really Special Card

Here is a special card I made for a special friend, Gill and her hubby who have just celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary.  Quite an achievement isn't it!

I wanted to make a special card, so decided on the hearts nesties and see what happened after that.  I didn't have much of an idea in my head, but it all came together really nicely!

Here you can see the inside more, I used white and gold together. I do love using Nesties to make easel cards, they look really special.  Most of the white parts are glittered too, so it's quite blingy (if there is such a word!).

Rudolph Day 3 - It's all gone square!

Rudolph Day is here again. I've gone on to square cards now, makes a change for me!!  I've been using up some of my Christmas stash and used some new stamps (birthday goodies for me!) on them along with the embellishments.
I've tried to keep them fairly flat'ish for posting.  It's so expensive now, that I mainly leave the embellishment filled ones for hand delivered cards.  I've made a few using my Penny Black stamps as they are favourites of mine.

Hope you like them! Enjoy!

Another Wednesday, and another WOYWW with Julia.  This is my little tray at the moment, all full of papers and DST!  I was making this card, and saw the backing from the finished peel offs I'd just used and the tumbleweed moved...yes it actually moved...and I had a lightbulb moment!

It was just perfect to add as a mat for some backing papers I had and it was just perfect when I put them together!  As a crafter I can find a use for most things, the packaging of craft items always comes in handy somewhere!
I'll have to show you this card when it's finished.  I've got so many ideas running around my head at the moment, it's making a few tumbleweeds wobble around!!!!
Don't forget to check out my special cards, now completed, which you saw the beginnings of in a previous WOYWW post.
Happy WOYWW!

Special Cards...

Here's the special cards I was working on in WOYWW the other week.  It's all animal related - my fave cards as you all know!  So I thoroughly enjoyed making them. I think I've used most things in my stash here....

Die cuts, peel offs, rubber stamps, card candi, glitter, stickers, sentiments, ribbon, punches, you name it and I think it's on there!

I just love these rubber stamp sets, they are so cute!  I added the special poem in using my PC.  It certainly was a labour of love that took me a while to make, but I loved it!

I also used this stamp, although it's a lot lot lot bigger than I thought it was!  I'll have to use it for my big cards mainly, although I've just had a lightbulb moment here!  I added the gold bottle charms on at the last minute.  It suited the card!  The cards have been given to the recipient now, so I can safely blog them!

As it's WOYWW's what is on my little work tray on my bed.  It's another 'doggy' card and part of a flower I was trying something out on.
Not much too exciting that I can show you at the moment, although the special cards I was making before will soon be uploaded for you all to see - so come back and check them out!!!

A bit of sunshine here today, mixed with black rain clouds and very very cold wind along with some snow too - typical English day then...LOL!!!!

Keep warm everyone and Happy WOYWW!

Happy Birthday Brother!!!

Here's the completed card you saw the beginnings of on WOYWW this week.  I had some cute little beer cans and decided to make some "Beer Bunting" for the embossed part of the card.  It took a while to get all the little cans pointing the same way.

I already had a sentiment stamped so layered it onto some gold card and it then matched the gold die cut stars I used to edge the embossed part of the card.  I also added in a little peel off.  I searched all of them and couldn't find one with Brother I used this one instead.  The Beer Monster is a cute digi I've had for a while and suits all mens cards!
The second card (which Domi showed you the beginnings of with the Cuttlebug by her paw!) is a hand designed camera made from card in my 'bits bag'. She used little bits of mirror card and also some jazzy peel off lines.  She added the cute little Chester, purely because she liked him!!  Why query a cats thoughts..... oh dear....I think I need to check my medication is right!! LOL!!!
A big thank you to Gill, who has sent me some lovely cards to add to the charity box, ready to be taken with some gorgeous items from Jan for their Spring Sale.  Thanks to you both!

Here we are again, WOYWW once more.  So here are my little worktrays, lots of useful items here, DST, Card Candi, cardstock.....and here's the most important part of any cardmakers worktrays and/or desks.....
Yes, our little 20 year kitty, Domi.  She's helping with the Cuttlebug to make a card for her Dad.  I know, I know, he's not her real Dad, but an adopted one!  She's normally got glitter on her somewhere, the same as me.  She's looking quite serious because she jumped up on my bed and found there was craft stuff e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e and no where for her to sit. Tut tut...!
Here's the startings of one card I was making for my Brother's birthday which is today, so Happy Birthday to you!!!  I'll show you the rest of it when he's opened it just in case!
