A favourite image....one of many!

I just love this image and have used it many times for guys cards.  This is a thank you for a guy so I kept it fairly masculine (I hope!).  A new technique for doing "Dragon Skin" - what do you think of it???

The backing paper is actually a Christmas one I found in the bargain bundle I got at the Craft Sale.  Not bad huh!

Some star gems (to reflect the "Superstar" part!) and some netting on the corners along with another ticket sentiment and it's done.

Enjoy!

Another bear - a digi this time

This little bear was a freebie I've had in my stash so I coloured him with Promarkers and added some stickles to the flowers, a simple background paper and some Nesties onto mirror card and some plain blue cardstock.

More of the flower gems and a bit of ribbon (left over from the ribbon flowers I made - waste not want not!) and a ticket sentiment added onto the same backing paper.

Enjoy!

Fab Freebie - Meet Sally

Say Goodbye Sally - she's retired!  Watch out for a new digi soon!

She's a new "Fab Freebie" for you all to have fun with.  I seem to have a lot more comments when I add a freebie, so perhaps some of you may stay around for some special cards coming up.  Fingers crossed.

Hope you enjoy Sally and there will be more to come soon....so keep following for more freebies!  It'd be nice to see any of your makes using my freebies.  Come on, encourage me to make you some more!

Enjoy!

One for the boys!

I just love this image - in fact I love all of the images from this guy!  Just perfect for so many occasions.  I decided to make this a boys/mens card - although just by changing the colouring it can be for girls/ladies too.

I did some faux stitching holes - I've now found the perfect pen for adding stitching, so you'll be seeing some of that later on.  The white dots are actually glitterations stickers - they look white on the photo, but they are actually glittered.  Adds some subtle glitter for men!

Some small peel off corners, onto which I added some candy and a "Way Cool" ticket sentiment.  These tickets are ideal for so many occasions and well worth the cutting out!!

If you look closely at the dragon, you can see I've added some clever shading on his skin, looks good in so many colours as I've done a few now.  Better than a plain shade I think, don't you???

Enjoy!

Perfect Little Bear

I found this little bear in my digi collection and thought she'd be ideal for this lovely backing paper (bargain bundle again!).

I added more of the plain white gems (coloured with Promarkers again!) to match the colour of her little dress.

Pretty little ribbon again (I'm into my ribbons again now I can get to them!) and will have to get a couple more when I see some in the sale.  I'd love to have a big box like my friend Di, but sadly the cat needs to be fed first and I can't put her on a diet - she's 18 now and only weighs 2.8 kilos as it is!  Bless, she's a real sweetie.

Stickles have been added to her dress and the balloon, you just gotta have glitter!

Enjoy!

Hey Dude!

Nice and clean - perfect for a guys card.  I used a freebie digi image from Sans Design - so cute isn't he.  I added some matted and layered background papers, some red card, card candy and another ticket sentiment.  I have a few of these so you'll be seeing more in the not too distant future! LOL!

Enjoy!

It wasn't me...

That's what it looks like she's saying isn't it...!  I'm really missing my printer at the moment.  I got a new one about five months ago and have had problems with it and it's taking ages to solve.  No help from the store or the manufacturer.  Guess who won't be buying that brand of printer or shopping in that store again anytime soon!!!

So, the card is taken from the colouring of her clothes.  I added some dotty backing paper, I tend to use it on several cards till it's gone then I don't have loads of scraps as I have nowhere to put them!  I used my CB to emboss the pink cordinations card - got a lot of use out of that little 6 x 6 square!!!

I used my pokey tool to add the faux stitching holes and then matted and layered it onto the core-dinations card and used it for the sentiment too.  I used a simple peel off for the sentiment and some flowers from another peel off too.  I don't waste any peel off materials!  Or anything in fact - I can find a use for most things!

Finally I added some lilac card candy dots to continue the dotty theme.

Enjoy!

Got My Eye On You...!

A really cute image here which just called out for Promarkers!  I added some background paper with cute little circles on which is the last I've got of that as I can't remember where it came from!

Added a little circle which was from a die cut that Di (no pun intended!) sent me.  I coloured it with my Promarkers and added some cute candy on it to keep the circle idea going!  I might glitter the balloon, but I'm getting low on my glitter and I only have three, so might wait a bit.

Enjoy!

Happy Easter Geoffrey!

Sorry the pictures but I had to take them quick before putting them in their decorated envelopes!  As you all know, I don't have a table to craft on at the moment, so I had to make these on my bed!  What do you think??

I spent many hours folding up the small ribbons and carefully putting them around the circle here.  For my first attempt I think they look OK.  The images are downloads, and I coloured them with my Promarkers.

I had some Nesties left in my little box so used them inside the circles of paper.  I cut them using my freebie scissors from a craft magazine a while back.  I wasn't sure how good they would be but they cut it OK and I managed to line them all up too.

Card candy and some gems and stickles made them more bling-tastic as they say!

Enjoy!

PS. Promarkers - what do you do when they dry out?  I've had mine since Christmas and some of them have dried out already.  I honestly thought they'd last longer than this, but they haven't.  How long do yours last before drying out????

Fab Freebie - Meet Chloe

SAY GOODBYE TO CHLOE!!
A NEW DIGI WILL BE UPLOADED SOON

Jimmy and Chloe have now been retired.
I was disappointed that only one person made cards with them, perhaps you might like to share your cardmaking talents with me and others next time instead.

Some more Promarkering...is that such a word...?!?!?!

I've been colouring like mad lately, I'm hoping to be able to make them into cards soon.  Keeping fingers and everything else crossed!

Hope you like my little girl, she's been coloured with PM's (as if you didn't know LOL!).  Again, quite simple, but colourful.

Enjoy!

An Old Irish Blessing....allegedly....!

Well I was told it's an old Irish Blessing. I'm not convinced, but I thought it was cute. I don't have any stamps or digi images of frogs in underpants though, so just did a plain frog on the front along with the blessing.
I added some faux stitching around the edge, a different type this time, with a green gel pen (to match the frog of course!) and white around the actual frog image to make him stand out a bit.
Enoy!

Another roar...!

Yes, two different lions. I coloured this one with PM's again, and added some Stickles glitter. You can't see it too well in the photo but it is there!

I used another bargain 99p paper pack (Papermania this time!) I got eons ago now. All different shades on one colour (blue in this case!). I then just added a lovely red heart (I got several from Gill in an envelope with some stamps to use with my PM's - these will follow soon!).

I added the sentiment using the computer and just matted and layered it and added the heart around it. Quite cute card for a guy I think.

Enjoy!

Dragons - one of my faves!

I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this card! Another where I had the sentiment first, swiftly followed by the image, I had the perfect digi one in my stash all ready for this sentiment!
Not the standard green colour, but I went for blue and it's come out quite well, I think! More shading and blending with the PM's.
Simply matted and layered onto silver mirror card, along with some blue gingham (freebie backing paper). The sentiment was printed on the PC, and then matted and layered onto card. As I have limited space, I make quite a few cards with the same items then move onto the next colour in my stash!
Enjoy!

Thank You

I think it's safe to post this one now. I made this for the lovely Gill M, who helps me make cards for cancer charities/hospices. I sent her some digi images coloured with PM's along with this card.
Martha Stewart punch along one edge of some brown card (I'm used more dark card these days, not sure why!), topped over some shiny silky yellow paper which I'd cut with the lovely trimmer that Di got me for Christmas, not only does it cut lines, but you can cut different shapes with different cutters on it, and it also scores too which is great!
I coloured the digi image with PM's (what else?!?!?!) and then used the double scallop punch to add a different edge to it.
The lovely thread was found whilst looking for a stamp I thought I had in my stash, so I thought it would just go with the card - something different.
Simples!

We Come In Peas

Another freebie digi image - this time from Spyder - it just looked so cheeky - and perfect for a notelet card too. Nothing else was needed apart from some PM's to colour it in, and a plain silver mirror card, along with the lovely circle backing paper I used for the New Pad card the other day.
If only I could remember where I'd got it from....LOL!!!! Not used for ages, just sitting there, now I've used it on three cards so far...oops!
Some faux stitching just added to the finishing off, I didn't put a sentiment on this one as it wasn't needed. Simples!
Enjoy!

Getting there....

Another digi image, I needed a tortoise for this one as I got the words before I decided on the image! LOL! It just fitted the sentiment well.

This image was coloured with my fave PM's (of course!) and I just added a simple striped backing paper along with some gold mirror card which was double scallop punched. I promise I'll change my stash I've got out soon to do some different cards for you all. It's a right pain having to keep putting everything away once I've used it, but it has to be done sadly.
This is just the right size for a notelet card and not much else is needed - nice and simples yes!
Enjoy!

New Pad

This was a really quick make for a friend of ours who is just moving house. I used a freebie digi (again I know!) and coloured it with my PM's (again, I know...!). I then just matted and layered it on to some Nesties (two different shapes) and used some silver mirror card with some 'circle' backing paper.

I used some plain white card to add the sentiment and used my trusty double scallop punch to add some detail to the corners. I also added some punched border in green mirror card to the bottom of this, however I did this before I cut round the image to make it stand out more.

I couldn't separate it from the DST so it had to stay, but if you don't say anything then I won't either and no one will be any the wiser...! LOL!!!

The gorgeous wooden flying creature (which came from Craft Fairy Lisa) was also added to give it some dimension. I think it just sets it off nicely. Oh and of course it had to have some googly eyes to add to the fun.

Enjoy!
