WOYWW 202

Sorry about the photo, it is a bit dark here!

Here's what is on my work tray today for WOYWW with Julia.  It's for a lovely friends birthday - I think it might be a big number this time!!!  How scary are they?!?!?!

I've got a few things going on here to be honest, I never work on just one card!  I usually have a few items ready for the next one that is being designed in my head!

If anyone knows what the name of this backing paper is, I'd love to know as I only have one sheet of it left (I got it in a bargain sale!).  You know me and my bargains!

Enjoy!

Beary Nice Stamp from Di...

Di sent me this stamp a while back, and I love it so much and have used it many times for charity cards but don't think I've ever blogged one so I thought it was time I did.

The last of the blog candy win paper here, I've now found out what it's called but can't find it anywhere!  Typical huh.

Used some more of the new ribbon here backed onto plain green cardstock and put behind the image which is at a jaunty angle!  I tried it straight but it didn't look right!

Some little flower gems and a ticket sentiment along with some doodling around the image and that's it.

Enjoy!

Charity Card - Thank You

A fairly simple card that looks quite effective, well I think so!

I had some images and was trying out my H20's for the first time, hence the heavy handedness of the yellow!!! Mind you, it looks good with solid colours too so I'm not complaining!

SHOPPING LIST

Here's what you need for this card:

  • Purple cardstock
  • Simple purple flower doodles (I think this was Floral Doodles a freebie I got many moons ago)
  • Purple flowers sent by Crafty Ange - she sent me a bag of 'bits and pieces' and I love to see how I can use them for the charity cards
  • "Thank You" image was a freebie (from Dustin Pike I think!)
  • Coloured with H20's - from Di and Jan - thanks for those - love them!
  • Foam pads were used to give him some height
  • Cuttlebugged (spots embossing folder) was used on a Nestie oval scallop and added some yellow glitter dots on the scallops - you can't see them too well, so perhaps I should've used a deeper colour

Hope you like him!

Daisy and Dandelion Decoupage

Oh aren't these characters just so cute!!! This was a freebie download from http://www.docrafts.com/ - I'm not sure if it's still on their site, but well worth a download as it can be used for so many cards as it's so versatile, the backing paper comes in handy too!

UPDATE: Just checked and the download is still available at http://www.docrafts.com/download so go and give it a go!

SHOPPING LIST

Here's what you need to make this card:

  • White cardstock 6" x 6"
  • Dovecraft Corner Rounder
  • Print out your free download for the backing paper
  • Print out your free download for the embellishments on to white cardstock
  • Print out the sentiments on the same cardstock
  • Complete the decoupage elements and also cut out the sentiment
  • Dovecraft Corner Rounder to take the corners off the backing paper to match the white cardstock
  • Two strips of brown graduated ribbon add this to the left hand side of the card
  • Place your decoupage embellishments central in the remaining space
  • Add felt flowers (I chose beige and brown to match the paper) down the middle of the two strips of graduated ribbon
  • Add foam pads to the sentiment and add it to the lower right hand side of the card
  • I put Stickles (Stardust) on the paws of the bears to 'bling' it up a bit! You know me and glitter!

Hope you enjoy making this one, the basic template can be used for many cards so have fun!
