WOYWW 222

Hello and welcome to WOYWW 222! Another week gone by and someone told me it's now only 111 days until Christmas!

I had good intentions of doing some crafting but hospitals and illness got in the way again. Never mind, I did manage to do this.  It's not a card we all like making, but sometimes they need to be done.

My bestest Auntie rang me to tell me her little cockatiel had died, she'd had her for 12 years and as she came from someone else they didn't know how old she really was.  I know it may sound daft to some of you making a Sympathy Card for a bird, but birds are also part of our families as well as cats and dogs and when one dies it is like losing a member of your family.  I'll miss her I know that.

If you come back later in the week you'll see the finished card.  Talking of finished cards, check out the posts below and you'll see the Wedding Cards and also some different style Christmas Cards I've made. I'm trying to get outside of my comfort zone and try different styles.

Happy WOYWW everyone!

Enjoy!

Karen, that card is gorgeous. I'm sure your auntie will be blessed to receive it. It won't fill the hole in her life, but it will reassure her that she is loved.
Thanks for visiting me, hope you get the flower die soon.
Blessings

Any pet leaves a gap when it's gone...a card will be lovely! Talking of which, a couple of Christmas cards would be fab...just something to enclose with the prezzies :-). Thank you!

It's always so sad when a pet dies, even a little bird! So many of our memories go with them. Your card is gorgeous, though, I bet it was a great comfort to your aunt. Julie Ann x #32

Oh such a pretty card and a shame about the birdie :-) I don't think it matters what it was - it's still a beloved pet :-(

When we have pets and lose them, it just breaks your heart. They become like children and it hurts to lose one. Love the fact you are sending a sympathy card for your aunt! Such a lovely card at that

The loss of a beloved pet can be just as heartbreaking as that of a loved one, so I think your card is a wonderful gesture and beautiful too! I am sure she will appreciate it! Have a great week! Danie #25

I agree that ALL pets are family members. If they aren't thought of that way, then the person doesn't deserve to own/care give them. And I love what you have done, and shown such caring and love. After all, it's the ones that are left behind that you do this for. Happy WOYWW on Thursday from #2

I'm sorry to hear you had to make a pit stop again, Elizabeth. I hope this week has been better! Your Auntie will love the sympathy card and I LOVE the cards from your prior posts! If this is outside your comfort zone, you should stay a while! They are stunning!! Hope to see you on the WOYWW hop next week. Darnell
