WOYWW 187 - Happy New Year to one and all...!

WOYWW - well not a lot has been going on with my trays on my bed lately!  I've had a bad back over Christmas which slowed everything down and put paid to my plans to do some crafting with the goodies I got for Christmas. I also had a result from my Diabetic Retinopathy Test I had before Christmas, I wasn't expecting the results yet, and it appears I now have Retinopathy to add to my list.  That has scared me a bit, but hey, I'll add it to the ever growing list of health problems and just 'get on with it' as I've done ever since the cancer diagnosis.
I decided to make my "Thank You" cards - of course there had to be a kitty or two there somewhere didn't there!  Some were white like my beloved Bertie.
And some were darker like our little 20 year old cutie, Domi.  She's asleep under my bed at the moment having eaten a whole tin of food for breakfast!  Her overactive thyroid costs us loads of ££££'s in cat food each week, but she's worth it! They did treat it with medication, but she had a severe reaction and we nearly lost her.  Now there is nothing else they can give her, so we're just feeding the eating machine instead! Boy did she love the Christmas Turkey!!!

Have a Happy and Healthy New Year everyone!

Happy New Year, Karen. I so admire your fighting spirit, but then I would rather laugh than cry as well, so we are kindred spirits...
I am happy to send you items for all the charities mentioned if that's ok? What sort of thing do you think appropriate? And do the cats need any knitted blankets or similar? If you would email me, I'd be grateful and can then sort something out for you :)
Hugs, LLJ 31 xxxx

Your cards are really beautiful and you have a beautiful spirit - well done you, it is so easy to feel sorry for yourself (and I speak from experience) and I admire you for it. Blogging keeps my spirits up these days, there are so many kind people out there. Hope 2013 is a much, much happier and healthier year for you. Hugs, Anne x #7

awesome cards. I love my girl kitties. When I just had the 3 boys they were different and not as lovey as the girls. When they died I changed course I guess! Hope you have a Happy and Prosperous New Year! Look forward to your posts in 2013! Vickie #17

I love the crimped paper lace; not something I would have thought of, but it looks amazing. And I really like your thank you cards, the way the stamp looks really different in the two colour ways. Really great.

Happy WOYWW,

Cancer is a bummer. When I was on Arimidex I seemed to get things like I was a poster child for everything. It passes and life goes on. Kitty sounds like a sweetie. I love cats and understand hoe you feel about the feeding machine.

My 13yr old Persian also has an over active thyroid and has pills to take daily. Dosen't stop him from getting through tons of food every day though. I swear he has hollow legs! Your cards look so different just my changing the colours. Hugs Mrs A.
