WOYWW 149

Not quite on my workdesk (to find out more about WOYWW go and see Julia's site it'll soon get you on a Wednesday as it's so addictive!), but here's what I've been working on in between the card making.  My DVT leg stops me from crafting on my bed for too long, so instead I decided to make some crocheted blankets for the local Cat Shelter.  I like to help the smaller charities which don't get so much PR.

Here's some packed away and ready for despatch.  I've also offered to make some cat/dog related animal cards (along with some general cards) for their Summer Fayre.  If anyone would like to help me, just let me know and I'll happily deliver them for you.

They really do appreciate everything you do for them and as I've been there, I know they really care for their animals and it's lovely to see so many kitties being rehomed.  Yes, I know, I'm a real marshmallow when it comes to animals.

Enjoy!

What a WONDERFUL idea. That is so nice to be able to have more than one hobby and to be able to give your gifts where they are so needed. Thanks for sharing. I hope to be able to help in the future. Mindy #120

Wow, you've been a busy girl Karen! Well done, are the pink ones for the lady cats? :)

I'm just about to start knitting little jumpers and hats for the 'Fish and Chip' babies. Twiglet (Jo) posted about these little mites on her WOYWW posting today.

Tell you what, we keep too busy to get into mischief!

Yay for making kitty blankets! What a good and caring heart you have.

I saw your cat on your profile pic, and we must have it's twin here! We have a solid white cat with the same face. Ours if very old...she turns 18 next month!

Thanks for stopping by and having a snoop at my desk!

Wonderful idea. My girls love my crocheted blankets and knead them like they just can't stand not doing it! Hope your DVT is better soon so you can be up and about as much as you want. Thanks for visiting my WOYWW desk. Have a great week. Vickie @106

What a great thing to do - the cats will love snuggling down on those beauties. I like supporting smaller charities too - they're just as deserving as the bigger ones.
