WOYWW 143 - Stamping Sesh!

I had a go at some stamping the other day, just on my small tray (smaller than a sheet of A4 paper but it has it's uses!).  I used my new Rock A Blocks (thanks Di!) which has helped me loads, apart from one stamp I've tried which still misses in the middle of it.  Not sure why - all the others work fine, perhaps it's the tray?  It is absolutely level so I doubt it.  Any ideas, please share with me!
Anyway not a lot happening here for WOYWW, but there will be when I've finished them!  I've been looking for a new word for using Promarkers, I've tried colourising and graphic artistry, but still my brother insists on calling it 'colouring in' which makes me sound like a four year old LOL!!!!
What do you use to describe it?  I'd love to find one that stumps him!!!  Again any ideas welcomed!

Thanks also to my new followers, it makes my day to see you all peeking in now and again at what I'm doing - so thanks for cheering me up!!
Enjoy!

He he - I am no good at "colouring in" so its no good asking me. The card makers who are good at it amaze me.

My otherwise sweet mother in law calls everything I do 'daubing' and it's the one time I have to bite my tongue!! colouring it is gal, just grown up!! Hate rocker blocks with a passion, aren't we all different! Hold the stamp up to eye level...is the image in the rubber level? May be bruised..if its dented, put in the airing cupboard for a couples days, the warm softens it and sometimes helps it to spring back....but tbh if you can get an image from one and not another under the same conditions, I reckon it's a bum stamp.

I love alcohol pens and enjoy 'colouring in' (never too old!) Well done on all the stamping (it's surprising what you can do on a small tray). Perhaps try putting a foam pad, a mouse mat, or even a telephone directory under the card that you're stamping on to give some cushioning - worth a try (Hazel, WOYWW #5) x

The advice from Julia and Hazel is good and worth a try, otherwise - to quote Julia - it's possibly a bum stamp :( You could try it on a flat acrylic block as well so that you've tried all options. Some thin stamps, often freebies, aren't brilliant on rocker blocks as they're often thinner (but that's normally all over and not just the centre) but work OK on flat blocks.

I'm not too keen on rocker blocks. I prefer a foam stamping mat under my card when I have a troublesome stamp.
I do love a colouring session, but then I love making a mess, dabbling in paint, playing with clay etc so I think I am still a four year old at heart. Kate x

I had a troublesome stamp and kept blaming myself for not inking it properly or pressing down hard enough or not being on a flat surface etc., etc., ANY excuse ... then it dawned on me it wasn't me at all but a faulty stamp! Enjoy your "colouring in" ... as my nephew would say, "It is what it is!!!" Debbie #89

I love my Rock-a-blocks, I sometimes find I have the same problem but it's because the stamp is too thin. I sometime put the stamp of the desk, ink it then place the card on the top and gentle rub my fingers over it. Happy Thursday to you, hope you enjoy this week's snoop around the oh so creative spaces & take care. Zo xx 83

I too would contact the manufacturer...sometimes it is just a faulty stamp.
