WOYWW 254 - Still here.....!!!

Well as it's WOYWW I thought I'd best post some of the Easter cards I've been making. I must admit this dialysis has slowed me down and made me very tired....zzzzzzz.....zzzzz but I just HAD to make some cards.
I can watch Craft TV whilst on dialysis and it's given me loads of ideas, I just haven't had the energy to do them.
However I really wanted to make some Easter cards and was determined to do it, so got everything ready and had a marathon session with lots of rest breaks too.
I wasn't prepared for the tiredness of dialysis, and it's going to take some adjusting to the good/bad days, but hey, I'm still here after cancer, diabetes, two DVT's and everything else thrown in to the mix, so I'm gonna make the most of it! As Darnell says, LITS!!!!

Have fun everyone, and have a great Easter break too!!!

Keep smiling :-)))

Karen. You are doing SO well - I trust your body will soon adjust to the dialysis, and you will find a little more energy. My aunt and uncle (mum's brother and sister) both had dialysis. It is hard work - and SO time consuming. But what a privilege to live in a land and time where such things are on offer when we need them. God bless you as you adapt to this new way of living.
Your cards are lovely - trust you got them in the post in time - not posted mine yet! It will have to wait now until tomorrow as the Stannah man is here fitting the stairlift for the washing basket...er, sorry... the HUBBY!!!
Thanks for your visit - now, you won't go on a guilt trip 'cos you don't have the energy to knit, will you??! It is perfectly understandable and reasonable.
Have a really special Easter.

You are so very inspirational, Karen! First of all, your cards are TOPS! No one would ever guess that you weren't feeling at the top of your game!

What a survivor you are! Everyone has their cross to bear, but it's apparent that you got in that line again and again. (I'm sure there are others who have had an easier life because of it!) I applaud your ability to remember LITS and not sit around whining and feeling sorry for yourself.

I hope you adjust to the dialysis soon and feel less exhausted. Happy Easter to you, my dear! Big hugs, Darnell

Karen, you are amazing, and an inspiration to us all! How many people would have rolled over and given up by now? You let us know that you can fight anything with the right attitude. And its really the fighting that counts, because we can't beat everything, we have to learn how to live with some of it. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz # 34 xx

Hi Karen

You asked me what the bee stamp was that I used on my blog the other Sunday.

It is made by Stamps Happen and is #60058 Bees.

I hope that helps.

Sounds like you have been through a lot recently Karen. You are doing well to keep your blog going amongst everything else that is happening.

Fabby Easter cards too!

Take care.

Love Jules xx
