WOYWW - a short post, sorry!

Sorry, this is a short post for all you wonderful WOYWW'ers checking in.  I was given the above shoes for Delilah yesterday after a hospital visit and aren't they just wonderful!!!  So pretty and girlie for her to enjoy.

Another reason I'm not on here for long is that I've been diagnosed with a DVT in my leg and it's been extremely painful.  I've been to the hospital every day from five to nine hours at a time.  I'm now having four injections a day and Warfarin as well.

Guess who woke up to a lovely cold as well this morning - you'd think cancer, kidney failure, diabetes, lymphoedema, chronic pain, DVT (I won't go on any further!) would be enough wouldn't you - nope - let's have a nasty cold and sore throat as well.

Oh well, I hope to be back crafting soon, a little bit at a time, slowly, slowly, slowly.  I have to keep moving around and it's another of life's little blips on my health horizon!

Last but not least, I'd like to say a BIG THANK YOU to Gill for the lovely "Get Well Soon" card you sent me, it really cheered me up - I needed it believe you me.  My poor stomach is all purple and sore from the injections.  I can't believe I'm doing them myself, it's one thing I never wanted to do in my life.  It has to be done though, so will grin and bear it....in my usual way!

Enjoy WOYWW everyone.

My brother was diagnosed with exactly the same thing a fortnight ago and is having to undergo the same procedures as you, so BIG GET WELL HUGS from me as I know what an awful thing this is to go through.. :( He found out 4 days before his daughter's wedding and didn't say anything until afterwards - but it explains a lot as I knew something wasn't right on the day. He's remaining positive like you though and just doing what needs to be done until the blooming thing goes away...
Hugs, LLJ xx

Oh Karen, what an awful time you are having lately and you can't even craft, that's just pooh! Hope all the injections are worth it and the DVT settles down for you.

They did a great job with the shoes - they are so cute, perfect for winter, and cheerful too. Am so sorry about the dvt, can only imagine the additional consequences for you..do as you're told though - one day one of these things has to get better!

Oh, those shoes are just too cute! Not so cute is your DVT on top of everything else. I can empathise on the "what next sentiment as I've got multiple issues of my own. I guess we wouldn't be given them if we couldn't cope with them but it doesn't make it any easier to know that, eh?
Here's hoping the thrombosis dissolves cleanly and you have no long term problems.... thanks for stopping by!

Sorry to hear about the dvt on top of everything else. Hope they're giving you some support for your liver as it's the bodies filter, don't want that to go next! Love the shoes, hope they cheered you up!

Oh Karen, I can empathise with you as I have just come out of a suspected DVT from last April. Thought I was off the Warfarin but a visit to the GP has thrown it into dispute.
Not a clue you were suffering with so much, am putting you in a special place in my prayers.

I do hope and pray that things will son improve for you on the health front, and perhaps next year will be the one to cure all bad things. Keep strong.

hope you get to feeling better soon. I would assume that all those other disorders lower your resistance and you are more susceptable to the common cold and flu now. Take care of yourself!!! Hope you have a great week. Thanks for sharing. Vickie #68
