Chooks Birthday Card

I found this image in my 'stamped stash box' at the weekend and it was perfect for this stripy snippet I had in my 'snippets envelope'.  I do try to use all the bits of the tiniest paper as it's all given to cancer charitie for nothing.

This is ideal for a male or female birthday - well I think so anyway!  I think it's a Penny Black stamp but I'm not sure as it was a donated one.  I really must find out as I love it and will be putting them on my wish list.  I still have some Christmas/Birthday money to spend so will have to see.  My wish list is ever growing, I've just seen some of the new PB stamps and they are definitely on my wish list!

As this is one of my many charity cards, I was just wondering what you all do with the cards you make - obviously there are special ones for family and friends, but what do you do with the others?

Enjoy!

Another Fergus card...

This time it's just Fergus on the card - again similar colouring as before, but next time I'm going to be more adventurous with different colours.I always try to use up my snippets as 100% of the cards goes to cancer charities.

Hope you like little Fergus - enjoy!

Party Time with Fergus

I just love dragons (amongst many others!) so here's little Fergus.  Isn't he a cute little guy?!?!

Colouring was done with my Promarkers, and I added some silver mirror card and silver glittered embellishments - all flat so easy and OK to post without incurring huge costs as it normally is when you put the tiniest embellishment on a card.

Do you think this would be OK for a guy?  I've deliberately not used pinky colours, then realised I'd coloured parts of him pink - I can always change that - it's the background I worried about first...duh!

Enjoy!

WOYWW 144

Here's the view of my Workdesk this week for What's On Your Workdesk along with many others who like to have a nosey at all the creative workdesks, craftrooms, tables, trays etc..you name it and we craft on it!

I craft on trays on my bed, it means I have to put my stuff away each time I use it, which helps to keep it all neat and tidy (apart from the bag of craft goodies I got for Christmas which I'm still working my way through!).

I'll be working on putting my new stamps away soon, but I get too distracted with the crafting at the time, but I will catch up with that.

I've been working on some new cards,  they are normally made using a scoring board, but I don't have one of those, so take pot luck with my trimmer - it seems to have worked well so far.

You'll be seeing the results of this trimming/scoring soon I hope!

My First Official "Snippets Card"....

Here's my first "Official Snippets Challenge Card".  I hope I've done everything that is required for it at Snippets Challenge at Di's place.

I used some snippets to make a 'quilt type' card with hand stitching.  I also used some snippets of mirror card when using the die cuts.  The gorgeous Thomas was a birthday present from Di so it seemed right to make him my first "Official Snippets Challenge Card"!!!

The only addition is some flat glittery dots - ideal for posting - doesn't make it mega expensive to send to the recipient!

Enjoy!

A simple notecard

I made this out of snippets of backing paper and die cuts I already had on my crafting tray on the bed.  I also had the sentiment made up too so just put it all together.

Nothig fancy, just plain and simple.

Bakers Twine - well Karen's Twine really!!

I thought I'd add this in.  As I make cards for cancer charity, giving 100% of the  money made to them, I have to use my little grey cell and work around a few things.
For example, I'd love some real Bakers Twine, but it's so expensive, so I decided to have a go at making my own.  I've used it on the Whiff of Joy card earlier, and you will see a different colour on others I've done lately.
I had some kitchen string, you know, the one you use to tie around the Christmas pudding etc.  I put around a piece of plain old card (this is the back of a Christmas Card I received), and then got out my trusty Promarkers and just coloured lines across the string.  I let it dry and then added another coat of it.

Voila, it came out OK - what do you think?  It looks better on the card than here.  It's good that you can add whatever colour you need to match your card and not have to have every colour they make at great cost.

Hope you enjoy my little hints and tips and crafty makes which help save pennies.

Enjoy!

WOYWW 143 - Stamping Sesh!

I had a go at some stamping the other day, just on my small tray (smaller than a sheet of A4 paper but it has it's uses!).  I used my new Rock A Blocks (thanks Di!) which has helped me loads, apart from one stamp I've tried which still misses in the middle of it.  Not sure why - all the others work fine, perhaps it's the tray?  It is absolutely level so I doubt it.  Any ideas, please share with me!
Anyway not a lot happening here for WOYWW, but there will be when I've finished them!  I've been looking for a new word for using Promarkers, I've tried colourising and graphic artistry, but still my brother insists on calling it 'colouring in' which makes me sound like a four year old LOL!!!!
What do you use to describe it?  I'd love to find one that stumps him!!!  Again any ideas welcomed!

Thanks also to my new followers, it makes my day to see you all peeking in now and again at what I'm doing - so thanks for cheering me up!!
Enjoy!
I've had this image for a while, all coloured up and decided to use it on this with lots of other snippets along the way.  I really must find out more about the "Snippets Challenge" as I use loads of snippets all the time on my cancer charity cardmaking.

I used my MS PATP punch for the edging of the subtle pink paper, added a white love die cut on the top along with some white corner die cuts (again from Di!) and some gorgeous pawprint ribbon which I got for 49p!  Within the pack were six pieces of self adhesive ribbon (about 12" long) so they will go quite a way on the cards.

I added a gold mirror backing to the paper, as well as the sentiment.- I hope you think it works OK!

Another Rudolph Card!

Here's the latest Rudolph card I made, using a gorgeous stamp I found in the sale.  I think it's a Tatty Button one.  Of course, it had a cat on it, so I just HAD to buy it didn't I....!!!

Not the most spectacular of cards, but I'm using up all my little snippets and bits and pieces.  It pays to keep all those bits of cards and peel offs doesn't it!

Enjoy!
