Rudolph Day - it'll soon be here...aargghh!!!

Here's the little Dog I was using before.  His name is Barkley and he's so cute - thanks Gill...!!!  I had some die cuts from another card I'd made and used them on this card.  Just adding the little small silver stars from some old peel offs I've still got - they still come in useful I find.

Here's another card with the little dog and a cute kitty on as well.  Anything cute is good in my book!  Hope you like them - and don't forget - it's getting nearer all the time!!!

Enjoy!

Rudolph Day...a bit late....but got there in the end!

Here's my latest "Rudolph Cards" ready for Christmas.  I had the intentions of making Birthday and Thank You cards, and ended up making these Christmas ones too!

The above one is a plain and simple one using the Poinsettias I made earlier and using the brilliant glue that Julia sent me to try.  It's really wonderful and sticks anything to anything included me to my Poinsettias when I was holding one down onto the card! The ribbon is, as they say, donkeys years old but it suits this card and it's a shame it's the only piece I have in that colour!

As you can tell I'm trying to make different styles of card at the moment.  I've had these beautiful peel offs for ages and not used them.  Then all of a sudden in my offcuts I found a piece of vellum over from making the flowers for the wedding card and voila - I tore the edges and just stuck them to the vellum and I quite liked the finish!!

I've made a few different styles of cards with this idea so you may see some more later.

Enjoy!

Rudolph Day 7 - Something completely different!

Welcome to Rudolph Day again!!!  I thought I'd do something completely different this time and went with a clean look!  Just three colours (I'm counting white as a colour).

Most of the work is embossing which is gorgeous when using white card, it looks so pretty and elegant.  I've used my Holly Die cut which got a LOT of use last Christmas too!  I'm working on a few Christmas cards at the moment so you might see a them in between Rudolph Days too!

Rudolph Day 6 - Duck!!!

Yes, it's another one of those little ducks!  I love them so much, they are also so easy to colour so you can make up a batch of cards quite quickly which is handy around Christmas time.

It feels strange making cards in the middle of the year, but making one or two each month for Rudolph Day makes it so much easier when December finally comes around.

Enjoy!

Rudolph Day 5 - Still Lovin' Those PB stamps!

These images were stamped and sent to me for my charity card making.  I just love the little duck, he's so cute!!!  I really must add him to my "Wish List" which is ever growing!
Don't you just love those cute red candi?  They are by Papermania I believe, and are not candi, but are called domes.  I only got the one pack/colour - but wish I'd got others too as they are so beautiful!

Another couple of cards for my Rudolph Day charity box!

Enjoy!

Rudolph Day 4 - Something Different....

Rudolph Day is here again. This isn't my usual style, but it came to me when I was using up the remainder of some freebies from a magazine.  I embossed the white card with my Christmas embossing folder and added some pretty Christmas ribbon (bargain 50p!).

I added some lovely red metallic tape from the baubles (the ones I had from last year which I wasn't sure what to do with - I've used them loads this year!)....and then added the red/white baubles and the heart.

As I said not my usual style but I like it!  I was wondering if I should've put a mat underneath it - after I made it of course - what do you think?  Plain or matted and layered?

Enjoy!

Rudolph Day 3 - It's all gone square!

Rudolph Day is here again. I've gone on to square cards now, makes a change for me!!  I've been using up some of my Christmas stash and used some new stamps (birthday goodies for me!) on them along with the embellishments.
I've tried to keep them fairly flat'ish for posting.  It's so expensive now, that I mainly leave the embellishment filled ones for hand delivered cards.  I've made a few using my Penny Black stamps as they are favourites of mine.

Hope you like them! Enjoy!

Rudolph Day 2 - Penguins

Rudolph Day again. I just love these little penguins as they are so cute!  I'm not sure what stamp they are as they were donated for the charity cardmaking.  I was given some lovely Christmas Candi (Thanks Gill!) and they are wonderful colours!  They are also flatter than other Candi I've had.  Ideal for posting!
I also got out my little die cut machine and did some of the circular sentiments so I can just add them to cards as I make them - apart from one I did which had "Across the Miles" and I hadn't realised!  Don't worry, they've all been checked and remedied!

Enjoy!

Rudolph Day 1 - Little Hedgie

Yes, it's another Christmas card already!!!!  Rudolph Day is beginning again. Another Penny Black stamp I believe.  I used some more of the Card Candi, this time shiny silver ones, although it doesn't look like it in this photo!

I used several different circular die cuts for the sentiment - but they all worked together quite nicely. The backing papers are a freebie from a magazine - more of those to come...!

Enjoy!

Christmas Cards for Rudolph Day

I know, it's a bit early, but did you know there are only 9 Saturdays until Christmas (I think that's what they said!).  Scary huh!

Anyway, this is a little Penny Black stamp set I absolutely love.  I've had it for quite a while, but it comes out quite regularly (at least once a year LOL!) and I've just added a die cut border along with some shiny narrow tape in Christmas colours.  I've had them for a while too and wasn't sure what to do with them last year, but this year, it came to me - use them as borders!!!  I've also got some other ideas which you'll be seeing soon too!
This card photo was taken flat, when really I should've stood it up to get the best effect.  It's a folded card with a stand out image, but it's not done in the normal way by sticking it to the front left hand side.  This one is stuck on the inside of the flap, and the card comes from the right hand side. I hope that makes sense!

A cute little wreath embellishment and some gold peel offs later and another card is all done.  I'm now looking out for square envelopes again.  I've decided I quite like square cards too now!

The paper was a freebie from a magazine.  The red dots look like candy, but they are in fact shiny dome shapes from Papermania I believe.  I only got one pack and seem to be getting through them at a great rate of knots so might have to go to the craft shop again, oh dear, what a real shame....never mind huh!!

Enjoy!!!

Rudolph Day!

Yes, it's that time again - Rudolph Day!!!  I managed to get some stamping one and decided to add in this little cutie I got in the sale recently.  I've had this one on my "Wish List" for ages, and am so pleased to find it in the sale!  Bargain!

I used an oddment of backing paper I had, added some white card which I'd used my Martha Stewart punch on to make it look like a lace band and added some sparkly green ribbon (again another bargain, but the shop has closed now so no more bargains from there I'm afraid).

Enjoy!

Rudolph Day

Another Rudolph Card (thanks for the reminder to add the link Di!).  I just love this stamp, and well done to those of you who spotted it looks like my own little Bertie on my blog!  Miss the little man every day.

I used some gorgeous music notes paper (again from Di) and my new die cuts I got for Christmas.  I seem to be going through Stickles so much - another one has bitten the dust!!!  I'd like to try this glamour dust everyone is on about, but I haven't seen any when I've been in a craft shop. I'll have to keep my peepers open online.

I was going to try to put some ribbon inside the white middle of the bauble, but I can't get it to go around the curve.  It looks OK in white.

Hope your like it!  Enjoy!

WOYWW 151 and a Rudolph Card - phew still on schedule!

Here's another Rudolph card - if you're not sure what it is, click on the link and you'll find out - you'll be so pleased you did!!!  I might make more than one now as I'getting used to making them each time.
This lovely image was sent to me by Di - thanks Di...she's so cute!!!  I added some Christmas backing paper to it and then some snowflakes (die cuts which were part of my Christmas present from Di last year).  I added some Stickles Glitter Glue to them - and as usual managed to get some on me too!
I also used my gorgeous Fence Die Cut I got for Christmas 2011 too.  Added some Stickles glue to the tops and edges as well and it's all backed on to some silver mirror card.

Also it's WOYWW 151 today. If you're not sure what this is then go and have a look at Julia's page.  Here's what is on myworkdesk this week.  First of all an envelope arrived in the post and it contacted some gorgeous fairy papers and some cards too.  I made them into quick makes just adding some peel off's here and there.  Also some lovely sentiments which will be used soon on cards for my charities.  Sorry I can't remember who sent them to me, there was no note included and I've checked back in my email box and still can't find who it is.  I humbly apologise if it's you, and I'll gladly say a big THANK YOU for your kindness.

Secondly for WOYWW - a big post this week! - is our Domi.  Bless, she's 19 now, well between 19 and 22 according to Battersea as we checked on her paperwork from when we got her about 12 years ago now.  She's such a sweetie and likes to help me craft when she can.  Although I think if you look closely she's falling asleep - it's quite a job being a cat, so many things to do, eat, sleep, meow, sleep, chase butterflies, sleep, see other cats off her garden, sleep, eat, sleep, meow, sleeep!!!!

She has perfected the knack of sleeping exactly on top of what I'm working on!!!

Another Rudolph Card!

I'm doing quite well with the Rudolph cards, this should help me just in case there's another health problem to add to my list in December LOL!!!

This gorgeous image was sent to me by Di - thanks Di!  So pretty and easy to colour too.  I added some beautiful snowflakes (part of my Christmas present from Di last year), along with some die cut shapes as a base (another Christmas present!).  Didn't I do well.....!

The backing paper is from a 'sale bargain' I found.  They've come in very handy so far for my Rudolph cards.

The fence die cut has some glitter added to give it more sparkly - well it is a Christmas card!  Although that doesn't normally stop me - you can never have too much bling sometimes!!!

Enjoy!

Another Rudolph Card!

Here's the latest Rudolph card I made, using a gorgeous stamp I found in the sale.  I think it's a Tatty Button one.  Of course, it had a cat on it, so I just HAD to buy it didn't I....!!!

Not the most spectacular of cards, but I'm using up all my little snippets and bits and pieces.  It pays to keep all those bits of cards and peel offs doesn't it!

Enjoy!

Rudolph Cards - My First Ever!!!!

Well, as I'm still catching up with my blog due to the DVT pains, I thought I'd do some Rudolph cards as it was the 25th yesterday - can you believe it's January already? I sure can't!!!  So the first card is fairly easy to slide back into my cardmaking efforts. It's a plain square card (from my snippet box) and I added some die cuts (a part of my Christmas present from the lovely Di) around an image she had sent me in a goodie box previously. I'm working my way through the Christmas stuff I have so expect more on Rudolph Days!
The second one was along a similar route, some Christmas backing paper, then added the image and the die cuts on the top and bottom, it's a bit of a pain getting them to stick down properly but I managed it with the help of a good book!  I added some die cuts around the edge from a previous session of die cuts.  I've also added a Christmas sentiment rub-on but you can't see it too well in this photo, sorry about that.

I'm now planning on other things, taking it slowly.....easy does it.......

Enjoy!
