Just catching up a bit.....

I'm just catching up in between dialysis and have over time made these cards. Some are new styles for me, I wanted to try new things. The above is one of them! I had these stamps for Christmas but this is the first inking they've had. I've done more since, but they are still to be made up!

A wedding invitation reply card. The whole card is covered in Mica Powder and looked really sparkly but you can't see much of it on the photo!

These two cards are similar, but just different colour schemes!  I added on some flowers to the grass after the photo was taken but they've gone to the charity now so I can't re-photograph them for you, sorry!

This is a gorgeous stamp I got in a sale at a Papercraft Fair last year. It's great for anything baby related!

I'm just putting together a few birthday cards for friends of my Aunt who want more of my cards after buying all I had of the "Thank You" and "Get Well Soon" ones in my charity box. I'm trying to make unusual shaped ones instead of the normal, fold in half type!

So look out for many more coming soon - if I have the energy after dialysis that is!

Keep smiling and keep crafting!

Finished Cards!

Here's the finished card I made for my bestest Auntie.  Along with the card I gave her some Yellow Roses (I love the smell of flowers!).  She appreciated the card and told me she was going to show her friends that evening as she'd been invited to a girls night in!  Not bad for an 82 year old huh!

These three cards were for my Mum on her birthday.  The first one is from Domi, yes our cat does give out cards and presents too! She's very clever with her pocket money...LOL! This is a Stickeroo from my lovely friend Gill.  They are so easy to use and I just had to have a cat on here didn't I!

Sorry about the backing of this, it was all I had to hand! It doesn't show it off very well but at least you can see it.  This was my first effort at distressing flowers with ink.

This final one was a bit of a worry, I put silver glitter glue on it and by the morning the card had warped in the shape of the glue!  Argghhh!  However by the next evening it had gone back down again, phew! I used my faux stained glass effect on this one.  The little flowers I've had for ages, and decided to give them an airing.

Enjoy!

Special Card for a Special Friend and other news....

Welcome to my new followers - it's great to have you sharing my blog with me.

Happy Birthday Gill....!!!  I can now post the card on my blog. Sorry about the background but it was I had to hand at the time.  I decided to do something 'outside of my comfort zone' instead of the 'cute and cuddly' which I normally do.  I used some of the lovely Pearl Drops which you sent me to try - they work well on flowers as long as I leave them to dry somewhere outside of jumping range from our little blind old lady Domi. Sweet pea that she is!

Here's the card you saw with my last WOYWW posting.  Sorry I missed it last week, but I had a bad week, a good friend of mine died after a seven year fight with cancer.  It makes you realise how short life can really be.  I'm so lucky my own cancer is stable and I really hope it stays that way as long as possible.

I've also had an outer ear infection, the antibiotics are helping, but boy do they give you indigestion pain!!!  My tennis elbow has it's good and bad days.  The main thing is I'm still here and able to help others with this dreadful disease with my cardmaking making funds for the charities.

Keep smiling and keep fighting - never give up!

Enjoy!

Special Cards...

Here's the special cards I was working on in WOYWW the other week.  It's all animal related - my fave cards as you all know!  So I thoroughly enjoyed making them. I think I've used most things in my stash here....

Die cuts, peel offs, rubber stamps, card candi, glitter, stickers, sentiments, ribbon, punches, you name it and I think it's on there!

I just love these rubber stamp sets, they are so cute!  I added the special poem in using my PC.  It certainly was a labour of love that took me a while to make, but I loved it!

I also used this stamp, although it's a lot lot lot bigger than I thought it was!  I'll have to use it for my big cards mainly, although I've just had a lightbulb moment here!  I added the gold bottle charms on at the last minute.  It suited the card!  The cards have been given to the recipient now, so I can safely blog them!

Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Brother!!!

Here's the completed card you saw the beginnings of on WOYWW this week.  I had some cute little beer cans and decided to make some "Beer Bunting" for the embossed part of the card.  It took a while to get all the little cans pointing the same way.

I already had a sentiment stamped so layered it onto some gold card and it then matched the gold die cut stars I used to edge the embossed part of the card.  I also added in a little peel off.  I searched all of them and couldn't find one with Brother on...so I used this one instead.  The Beer Monster is a cute digi I've had for a while and suits all mens cards!

The second card (which Domi showed you the beginnings of with the Cuttlebug by her paw!) is a hand designed camera made from card in my 'bits bag'. She used little bits of mirror card and also some jazzy peel off lines.  She added the cute little Chester, purely because she liked him!!  Why query a cats thoughts..... oh dear....I think I need to check my medication is right!! LOL!!!

A big thank you to Gill, who has sent me some lovely cards to add to the charity box, ready to be taken with some gorgeous items from Jan for their Spring Sale.  Thanks to you both!

Enjoy!

WOYWW 184

WOYWW is here again - click here to see what Mrs Dunnit is up to on her workdesk, although she's not there but she is if you know what I mean!  So what is on my workdesk?  Not a lot really, it was my Birthday (Happy Birthday to me!) yesterday - so that explains why LOL!!!  I was out enjoying myself instead....!

However here is what is on my little worktray, holly with gems on, all drying off ready for cards.  I made a big batch of cards, and also put together a big bag of cards for the cancer charities - and yes you've guessed it - my cards went in the bag too and obviously they are now at the Charity instead!  So I've got loads more to make when I thought I was almost done with the Christmas cards.  Never mind, at least the charity will make even more money which is the positive in a negative!!!

Can you see the little Robin here? His Christmas has come early!!   It's a lovely Farm Shop we go to and there is always some new goodies to look at.  This time there's a bowl of Christmas Pudding - complete with spoon - and you can stir it and make a wish.  I remember doing this when my Nan made the Christmas Puddings, it was always a tradition I loved.  I do miss my Nan so much!!!

To finish off here is out little Domi, in her little house - she doesn't realise she's got her tail sticking out though!!! The photo isn't that brilliant as it was a strange light - it gives strange tinges to the colours sometime.

Hope you all have a wonderful WOYWW and be careful out there in the snow!

Happy Birthday to me...!

I've had a lot of birthday cards in the post today so I thought I would virtually post a blog message too on my special day.  Thank you Gill for the fabulous card and birthday presents.  I'll be using those on my cards later!

Off for a lovely dinner out today to celebrate and to my friends Karen B and Sue (one birthday yesterday and one tomorrow!) I wish you a Happy Birthday too....!!!

I'll be posting more cards soon, I've been busy making a few crafty items for Christmas and also some more cards in between hospitals and Doctors appointments.

Hope you all have a great day!

For a Little Girl...

Another Snippets card, not in the official playground, but just one of many I make for cancer charities and donate to them.  It all helps as they say!
Again this is just snippets of card, a stamped image coloured with my gorgeous Promarkers and some glittered dots added as embellishments.
I try to keep them flatter now, due to the hgh postage charges.  Obviously hand delivered ones are made with more heightened (is there such a word?) embellishments.

Enjoy!

Chooks Birthday Card

I found this image in my 'stamped stash box' at the weekend and it was perfect for this stripy snippet I had in my 'snippets envelope'.  I do try to use all the bits of the tiniest paper as it's all given to cancer charitie for nothing.

This is ideal for a male or female birthday - well I think so anyway!  I think it's a Penny Black stamp but I'm not sure as it was a donated one.  I really must find out as I love it and will be putting them on my wish list.  I still have some Christmas/Birthday money to spend so will have to see.  My wish list is ever growing, I've just seen some of the new PB stamps and they are definitely on my wish list!

As this is one of my many charity cards, I was just wondering what you all do with the cards you make - obviously there are special ones for family and friends, but what do you do with the others?

Enjoy!

Grrrr - it's the Cupcake Tiger...!

Another stamp purchased in the sales!  I think this little fella is so cute.  Just right for anyone I think.  I made him a lovely tiger colour with my PM's and added a gem to his little cupcake.
The backing paper was a freebie I had many moons ago.   Just perfect for the tiger.  I used some buttons on the side for my embellishment.  I haven't got any bakers twine, so decided to have a go at making my own and it came out OK - what do you think?

Would you like me to show you how I made it?  If so, I'll add it in my next post before going on.  I'm using bits and pieces which came to hand after my last batch of cardmaking took place before the DVT arrived.

Hope you like him, grrrrrrr!

Enjoy!
