Recycled packaging is now made into cards!

Well here's the two finished cards I made using the 'mostly recycled bits' from the packing from the Pound Shop!  Not bad huh, I made six cards from the pack and then here are another two from the packaging and there are more to come too!  I used the freebie butterfly die cut from a cardmaking magazine and just added the rest along the way from my stash box!
Whilst rootling (is that a word?!?!?) in my stash box I found this little image and thought he deserved to be made into a card.  I made a notelet card out of this one.  The pink cardstock is from a £1 mixed bag from the bargain bin!

Not my normal style....

Totally out of my comfort zone with these two cards, but then I decided I quite like the black card, so will be making more using it!  It's quite dramatic, but great for teenage or goth cards.

The round circular sentiment is one I made.  If you'd like to 'snag it' then let me know and I'll upload one for you. I've made quite a few different ones and it's nice to put your own personal touch onto cards.  I love making cards for special people with different handmade items no one else will have!

I went lighter with this one using greens, but still including black highlights on the card.  The little girls are so cute - I got them from Pollycraft before they closed down.  However you can still buy their stamps at Little Miss Muffet Stamps so all is not lost!

Also I've got some more digi images to upload for you, when I get a break from hospitals!  Just nudge me if I forget OK!

Enjoy!

A Revival....my Fab Freebies.....!

Sorry, Susie has now been retired - watch out for my next freebie!

Let me introduce you to Susie!
Many moons ago (sorry can't remember how many!) I used to offer fab freebie digis I've drawn.  I've just found my sketchbook and it reminded me to upload another one.
If you take her, please leave a comment and let me know if you'd like more of them like her.
Perhaps you'd like to add your blog posting via Mr Linky to let me (and others) see what you've made with her.
Have fun!

Really delicate....well I think so!

I've had this image in my 'stamped box' for quite a while, and this gorgeous paper just suited it down to the ground.  I used my MS punch (my first ever one - I now have two!) on it as a background behind the Nestie and the image.

One peel off line and one sentiment ticket later and it's all done.  Another one for the charity card box.

Enjoy!

WOYWW 154

Here's my WOYWW worktray and as usual I'm joining in over at Julia's place.  Come and join us, it's kind of addictive and fun too.  More of the animal cards for the Summer Fayre. I've got a few things on the go on this tray, my mind just wanders off on it's own without me sometimes!  LOL!!
On Saturday I went to the Summer Fayre and saw my hand crocheted blankets being sold which was nice, and also the cards looked gorgeous in a cane basket.  I'm going to make more of the cards for their next event and also some blankets too.  It all helps them raise funds and I enjoy making them.  I just wish I could do more of it, but because of the pains in the legs it's just not possible.  Maybe one day when I win the lottery I'll have my own craft room like so many of you and will be card making in abundence at my own proper desk....well we can dream can't we....!!!!

Enjoy!

Thank You Ambreen!

I nade this post "draft" but thought I'd post it here now as I'm just getting back into blogging after a break due to my ill health.  Thanks for sticking with me everyone!

A card which I made ages ago and sent to my lovely friend Ambreen but it didn't arrive so I thought I'd blog the post instead and show her what she never got, sorry Ambreen.  At least you can see part of what I sent to you!
I've got better access to my CB, so I made good use of it and cut out several digi images using the Dies that Di sent to me.  I had some 'crinkle paper' for ages now and thought I'd give it a go through the CB and it worked fine.
Added some dotted backing paper to go with the flow of circles and dots and then just added some dotty ribbon (think it's a Hobbycraft one I've had for ages - good quality, so it must be old!).  Added some gems in the shape of flowers to match the pink colour and there it is - done.
I actually sent this card to Ambreen, but as it's been quite a while now, and she's not got it, it's sad isn't it.  I put a little gift in there too, but nothing arrived.  That's the post for you!

Enjoy!

Olivia and Archie - another cute image!

Here's another cute kittie from the Olivia and Archie Collection.  I added some background paper, some mirror card and the last of the ribbon - you'll be pleased to hear!!!

I added some gold glitterations spots from Anita to compliment the gold mirror card.  I also cut the image with my woodware trimmer.  It's so easy to chage the cutter, even for me with  my dodgy hands, although sometimes it pops open and the cat likes to chase it across the bed!!

Enjoy!

Olivia and Archie - cute!!

I splashed out and got these from the Digi Stamp Boutique a few weeks ago when they were on special offer as a collection.  It might surprise you to know I like cats, and these are just so cute!

Some more papers from Gill used here, along with my bargain 99p ribbon and some Nesties.  I've also added a 'sentiment ticket' which I downloaded - sorry I can't remember where from now.  I used my Woodware trimmer (Christmas pressie from Di - which I use a lot now!) to add some decorative edges to the red cardstock.

Emjoy!

Meet George!

Another of my digi images here.  Do you like him?  Would you like him as a freebie image to use in your cardmaking?  Let me know!

I coloured him with my Promarkers, as usual, then cut it out with the die cuts (from Di - thanks!) and matted and layered him with some backing papers and some more die cuts I'd done.  Added some peel offs and voila - done!
Oh yes, the ribbon is almost gone you'll be pleased to hear!  Watch out for a new one soon!  LOL!

Enjoy!

Well Done on your Achievement Award!

I decided to make this Congrats card after hearing a good friend of mine who is 91 - has just completed her Achievement Award in her computer class.  How amazing is that..!?!?!!?  I think it's brilliant and she could teach a few others that computers aren't scary!

A digi image from Bugaboo (I think!), coloured with Promarkers (what else!) and then matted and layered onto a Nestie, some super star background paper (thanks to Gill..!!) and I used a funky foam star I already had in my stash along with my bargain sentiments (50p!).

Enjoy!

Get Well Soon ...

I've used some Promarkers here for a change!  Along with a beautiful flower which came from Gill in one of her many packets of cards she's sent me lately for the cancer charities/hospices.  Thanks for those Gill - also the lovely papers, some of which I've already used and you'll see those on here soon!

I added a peel off sentiment on here, makes a change from Birthday ones.  I've got some different ones to show you soon, so keep on looking....

Enjoy!!

Another wedding, slightly different....

Another wedding image from Di here, so pretty.  I've not got any stamps of wedding images, mainly animals and people of the few I do have.  Am trying to get more when the bank account allows (which isn't often!).

I added in the silver chain peel off on here to add some dimension to the image along with the hearts.  Again, now they're on there, I think they may be a little big, but it's too late once the glue has set isn't it....!

Enjoy!

It's Birthday time for Gill...

I made this card especially for Gill.  She makes me lots of cards to take to the cancer charities/hospices along with mine which makes the donation look really special, the more there are!

I used my last sheet of the blog candy win on this card, and added some gold brads and a new ribbon I got (99p another bargain!).  I always try to get a colour that will go with most cards I make to get the best use out of it.

The pink edging is from part of my Christmas presents from Di - they are all white, but I coloured them with my promarkers.  I'd love to have a die of several of them so I can make more.  Will have to keep an eye out and also add it to my ever growing wish list!

Anyway I hope you like this card.

Enjoy!

Gorjuss Girlie

This is such a gorjuss image - no pun intended!  LOL!  Such a cutie to colour and I used the purple from the backing paper to match her dress.  I added a piece of card I'd punched with my one and only, Martha Stewart punch and put some of my bargain heart ribbon down the side.

A small peel off sentiment added to pearlised card, matted and layered onto white card cut with the trimmer I got for Christmas from the lovely Di.  Have had more ideas for using that, so keep watching!

Enjoy!

Paper Piecing....my first efforts!

I've seen paper piecing on other cards and thought I'd have a go with it.  I can't do intricate cutting due to problems with my hands, but this was a fairly simple image and was quite easy to paper piece.  It's a digi image and I printed it out twice for the little dress.

The rest of her is coloured with Promarkers of course.  Now I've got better acess to my CB, I cut out some circles with dies that Di sent to me earlier.  I used the small circle that came out with the cut circle to outline the pink one, quite effective.

Core-dinations card - pale lilac this time to match the backing paper (sorry can't remember where it came from, think it was a Papermania one?).  I used the dotty ribbon (old one, Hobbycraft - good quality so shows it's age - now they're a lot thinner!).  I took the colours from the ribbon and added card candy to it in similar colours.

Not bad for a first effort at paper piecing - what do you think?

Enjoy!
