New Babies everywhere....
Of course with baby boy's we have to also have baby girl's as well. I think these cards are SO sweet and really easy to do using your offcuts of white cardstock.
I used real buttons on the top of the little outfit rather than card ones, as I think they look so nice on there.
Welcome to the world little babies!

WOYWW 182
Yesterday on the way back from the Dentist I dropped in another huge bag of cards (thanks Gill and Julia for the gorgeous cards you kindly donated too!). All I heard as I left was "Oh look at that wonderful card" "Here's another fabulous one" "Oh I must have some of these" it is so lovely when people appreciate all your hard work.
Also I've been making more crocheted blankets for the kitties for Christmas, as well as some little toys and food for them. The shelter relies on donations and I like to help by doing what I can for them. They are not holding their Christmas Fair this year sadly, but they hope to have one early next year instead.
Talking of kitties, our Domi hasn't been well and we nearly lost her - the vets only told us that after she perked up and her Blood Tests have come back better. She's had tablets which completely knocked out her White Blood Count and left her to infections which could kill. After three lots of antibiotics it's improved at last. She's 20 years old now and she's such a sweetie. After spending many hundreds of pounds, she's worth every penny. Now who is having beans on toast for tea again?!?!!?
I took a huge box of cards to my Auntie as she wanted some special cards for special people made by moi. I admit to loving it when someone is so proud of your creative talents. She only wanted ones made by me which was lovely to be appreciated so much.
I'll be showing the results of the 'cards in progress' soon so you can all see them.
Happy WOYWW!

New Baby
Another "Clean and Simple" design here. Before I had a CB of my own, someone sent me a few pieces of card already embossed, so I used those. I'd love to find some more of the yellow card they used, but have never found any yet. It comes up really well with the embossing on it. A simple topper (bargain 50p) in a craft shop closing down sale, a nestie (again from a lovely craft donator!), topped with a mulberry word sentiment. I just added the glitter for some 'wow factor' as they say. Again another bargain for 50p in the craft shop sale. Enjoy!

Baby Card
Another simple design. Di mentioned a "Clean and Simple" item a while back, perhaps I should have a look. Some of these are really clean and simple, less is more as they say!
Some simple embellishments, on a CB'd embossing cardstock background, some stick on patches I had from a "Forever Friends" freebie sticker pack (it came on a magazine but sorry I can't remember which one it was many moons ago!). Matted and layered along with the usual corner edge and it's done.
Enjoy!

Charity Card - New Baby

- Pink cardstock for base
- Round the corners using the Corner Punch
- Pink doodled background printed from Pink Petticoat freebie many moons ago I think - please correct me if I'm wrong - my memory is rubbish after cancer treatment and I readily admit it, it's too bad to hide!
- Pink Net was a bargain, reduced from £3.99 to 50p - I couldn't resist could I really!
- Square nestie I was given, my stocks are running low so I don't use them that often!!
- Cream square which fits perfectly into the nestie
- Diamond blings added to the four corners
- "Sweet" sentiment, found in a bargain bin in a closing down craft shop - it was a scrapbooking set but ideal for cardmaking too
- Gorgeous pink pram donated by Di - she is so generous with sharing her crafty stash and I will forever be in her debt for it! Thanks Di!

Charity Card - New Baby
Oh how cute can you make New Baby cards? As cute as you like! Lots of pastel colours, I usually make some blue, some pink and some just pastel for the 'not sure yet ones'!!!
These little prams (donated stash from Di) are just sooooooooooooo cute aren't they. Everything on these cards is freebies so it's all profit to the charity, and my pocket isn't so worn out.- Pink/blue or pastel cardstock for the base
- Tartan backing paper (freebie from the internet)
- Peel off corners added
- Nesties (from donated stash - which is slowly dwindling down......boo hoo....)
- Teddies (digi images are a freebie) coloured with Twinkling H20's as susual, the others are Forever Friends stickers
- Faux stitching in glitter pens (appropriate colours)
- Ribbon folded and added to the Nesties to look like a rosette!
- Sentiment peel offs are matted and layered on the appropriate colour cardstock
- Hearts and blanket patches are stickers already in my stash
You can really have fun with these cards, I use all sorts of embellies in my stash, just draw the line somewhere, or else they just look cluttered, simple is best.
KISS - Keep It Simple Stupid - is something I always try and remember, don't stick them down until you've looked at them from all angles!
Have fun!
