Well here I am in between dialysis again! Phew it's certainly life changing and sure does take some getting used to. One minute you feel fine, the next really rough. I think I felt better before I started dialysis as I didn't realise how bad it was getting, my body just kept on adapting to the changes of failing kidneys without me realising.
So what have I been up to then? Well I've been doing some paper piecing and made a Get Well Card for a friend of mine who is having a tough time.

I've also got some Birthday cards to make, and here's one of the toppers I've just created, waiting for the Glossy Accents to dry in this cold weather. At least the floods are going down now which is a good sign as long as we have no more rain.
I've also got some Thank You cards to make, but am just deciding on the design. I've got to get a conveyor belt going as I need quite a few! Any ideas for some 'quick makes' would be appreciated!

Talking of "Thank You" I'd just like to say a BIG THANK YOU to Gill (and your friend who did the knitting!) and Lunch Lady Jan who have sent me these gorgeous wrist warmers. I mentioned after my operation my left hand/arm is sooooooo cold all the time. It's one of the side effects apparently. My hands go very cold then numb and I have to try to get the feeling back in them before I can do anything!

The truck card is really creative. Good idea on the wrist warmers. I need some finger warmers; hard to work with though.Pat#89
There must be a story behind the truck on the card....it's an unusual subject for a thinking of you sort of card. You are so thoughtful especially as you're not exactly having it easy yourself at the moment....

Love the truck card. You are obviously a busy lady. I know how you must be feeling as my mum had cancer but she is over it now and it is six years since she had it.

Hi, thanks for calling by on me this week. I have a similar problem with cold hands and thought you might like a link to some gloves that I have found really help me. They are made from recycled cashmere jumpers and leave your fingers free so you can still use them :-) I swear by them and have to say they were worth every penny.

Love the jacked up suspension on the truck! How typical of you to be worrying about friends. hope the dialysis starts to even out and you feel relatively good between sessions. It's amazing what your body has put up with gal. Take care.

After a disastrous week and weekend, I'm finally able to stick my head above water long enough to return your visit from last Wednesday. I hope the dialysis helps make you feel better soon. It's hard when the "cure" is worse than the disease.

In response to your comment about the cow and chickens card . . . the Penny Black stamp is called Skip and Romp Code 2877L.
It's a bit elusive, but you can find it on Ebay.
